History of the Shih Tzu breed
The name "Shih Tzu" means "Lion Dog" in Chinese and he
received the name because of his long,
flowing mane-like coat.
The Shih Tzu is a sturdy, lively, toy dog with a long
flowing double coat. He has a
distinctively arrogant carriage with head well up and tail
curved over the back.
He may display an arrogant personality, but is actually
playful and gentle. Ours seem to act like they are above
playing, but can hardly contain themselves when we begin a
good game of fetch. The Shih Tzu adapts well to any family
situation and will enjoy cuddling in your lap, or doing
tricks, (ours all know how to dance) or fetch a tennis ball
or other type of toy (ours love TY Beanie Babies). One of
our boys actually sounds like he says "Hello"; if you call
our home and ask to hear this talent he will surprise you
with his genius. The Shih Tzu is found to be very loyal
and trusting and begs to be a member of the family unit.

Guard-dog: Low (due to size not
heart!)

Health Issues: Kidney disorders, otherwise
no major health problems.
Care and Exercise: Daily
grooming is essential. Bathing at least once a month, (Ours,
a bath every week).
Clipping of matting on feet.
Basic training when puppy is young.
Minimal exercise is needed, but he will
love to play outdoors.
Training: Shih Tzus may be obstinate but
patience and consistency will help over come the problem and
achieve a reasonable level of training.
Living Environment: Apartment is adequate
provided he receives some type of exercise. An owner of a
Shih Tzu should be a consistent leader who desires an
active, curious breed.

Most of our Puppies will Be Available to Ship From
Eight Weeks old, anyone that would allow someone to take any
Puppy Any Earlier could be the cause of Death for these
little Loved Ones Distemper and Parvovirus or are two
of the most horrible animal deaths you could ever see, and
they cant have their shots any sooner than
eight weeks.
But If you Find One You Are In Love With
You Should Prepay for that Puppy before Someone else does.
Most Of Our Puppies Don't Remain On The Market Longer Than
Twelve Weeks Of Age, many are paid for before they are born,
most are paid for before they are six weeks old.
